Celery Experiment
In this experiment, the
children will see how water travels through the stem. It requires
that they do the following:
1. Mix red food coloring in a cup of
water.
2. Put a celery stem in the water.
3. Wait 20 minutes.
4. Write what they notice about the
celery stick.
5. Cut off a piece of the stem and
write about what they see.
6. Explain the job of a stem
based on their noticings.
